March 2017: Green With Envy

Cool tones are on their way out, and color and warmth are coming back in. So much of the recent trends have been gray, modern, cool toned spaces. However, we are now moving back to natural elements and warm tones to bring life into our spaces. The Pantone Color of The Year is 15-0343 Greenery. This color perfectly represents the rejuvenation and revitalization that occurs in nature. We have seen green slowly, but steadily, sneak back into the design world as well as the fashion industry. There is no particular shade of green more popular than the other; from deep emerald, to the most pastel lime, all hues are welcome in 2017. Here is some greenery we found at the Seattle Design Center:

In fabrics we have been seeing a lot of florals with green accents.  Here are some examples we found in The Dixon Group showroom:

If you don’t want to commit to a green sofa or even green paint on your walls, you can add a pop of green with some fun accessories like these ones we found at Kelly Forslund and Designer Furniture Galleries.

We found multiple examples of green area rugs at Andonian Rugs. Each is a different shade of green as well as a different style, but still all on trend!
